It’s quite obvious that I’ve been getting a lot of use out of my Alexander McQueen Scarf. ο»ΏI’m usually not an impulse buyer, unless I’m shopping at stores like H&M or Forever 21, so this scarf was yet another item that I thought about for a bit before buying. I sit there and debate, whether it’s by myself or with friends who are as crazy as I am, if it makes sense for me to spend the money on one high end item rather than a few cheaper alternatives. As I’ve gotten a little older, I’ve found that I get a lot more use and satisfaction out of these items that I’ve saved for. Items that have also stepped into the “classic VS trendy” category. What I love about this scarf is that it’s long and delicate, although not too delicate, that I can wear it many ways as pictured above.

Ah I love that you have an Alexander McQueen scarf, they are a brilliant Brit staple! I bought mine last year and have barely taken it off since – it funks up a classic outfit really well, bit obsessed with mine actually…!!!

I totally agree with you! I now think about the cost per wear principle: I look at how often I wear something and often it means I can better buy one expensive instead of 5 cheap items. And that scarf is just amazing!

I completely AGREE on all counts!!! I love and use the shoes I wait and save before buying and the nicer items in my closet!! The impulse buys get worn a few times and then donate or just trashed bc of the quality and use render them gross.

I love that scarf and I think you look great in the different ways you choose to wear it. You can buy a whole bunch of things, but it's important to have somethings that you will have forever. And McQueen was a genius, so it's nice to have something of his in your closet. I'm with you on this one!!

I love McQueen scarves! I have a few myself and get ALOT of use out of them. I have definitely found that over the years I get much more satisfaction, and wear, out of buying a few nicer staple pieces. They may be more of an investment, but I know I'll have them fore years and years. And my feeling on it is that if they're classic, you'll have it forever!
