When we started planning our wedding earlier this year, neither of us realized just how hard picking a venue would be. Both being born and bred New Yorkers, having it here was pretty important to us. We had a certain vision in mind: industrial, with the right amount of softness, more than one room (some of these industrial spaces have just one main room) and one location for both the ceremony and the reception. We visited a ton of places but after visiting 501 Union, we knew we found “the one.”

For the ceremony, my favorite find was the K&H Marquee letters! For those of you who follow me on instagram, they’re now living in the space that Keiko and I are sharing. It worked out pretty perfectly! We also had beautiful hanging lights behind us and white roses going down the aisle. I loved the contrast between the soft flowers and the concrete floor.

For the decor, I wanted to keep things pretty clean & chic looking, so we went with white roses in a variety of mercury vases and lots of mercury glass candles. Since we had a cocktail party versus a sit down dinner, I didn’t have to worry about table settings. Most of my decor came from BHLDN (they really have the most beautiful wedding decor), Pottery Barn and Home Goods.

I had a talented friend of mine, Allison, do the invites and after discussing our vision, she executed them so perfectly. I wanted them to read “cocktail party” and she really listened and delivered. She also created our Save the Dates & the invites for my Bridal Shower.

Lastly, I had the incredible team at Naturally Delicious help us out with everything. Aside from having the most incredible food, they helped with the entire process from start to finish. A special thanks to Bethany because if it wasn’t for her, I probably would have had a nervous breakdown. They have the best reviews out there for a reason!

All photography by the talented Julian Ungano and Tommy Agriodimas. Normally fashion photographers, they did us a huge favor and shot our wedding.

Stay tuned for the rest of the rest of the photos!
