If you’ve been following me for a bit, you may know that a couple of months ago, we renovated our bathroom and kitchen. It was an enormous undertaking, especially while living in it (with a toddler), but we’re so pleased with the results. I promise, the complete before and after posts are coming soon! Now, I’m ready for our new project: a dining room gallery wall.
Next Project: Dining Room Gallery Wall
Quite honestly, it took me a long time to get here; mainly because I’ve been so mentally and physically tapped out at the thought of any type of redecorating. Even the thought of something as minor as hanging up a frame, exhausted me. This time around, the task is significantly smaller, but one I know will make an impactful difference to our dining room.
Since our initial home tour, we’ve renovated our bathroom and kitchen and redecorated our bedroom and living room. Our dining room has mainly stayed the same as in the home tour post I shared, but since we knocked down the wall with our renovation, it’s more of an open concept. Admittedly and embarrassingly, we don’t have many personal photos throughout our first floor. For the last two years, we say the same thing “once we get this gallery wall up, we’ll have our favorite pictures up!” So, here we are. We’re still trying to figure out a few details, like whether we want them neatly aligned or purposely sporadic (leaning towards the latter). Or do we get a variety of different frames or stick to one kind? A few key details we need to figure out.
The above photos are serving up as major inspiration. My goal is, and I’m putting it out here, is to have it done by the end of the year.
Also, here and here are two helpful posts on how to hang a gallery wall.

I like the first photo for inspo, it kind of works as both neat and sporadic. I’m sure anything you chose will look great!

Oh wow. The third photo is absolutely gorgeous/-feels unstudied and more European, but the black frames and black & white photography tie it together. Love. Can’t wait to see the direction you take.
