When I was pregnant with Nate, I became mildly obsessed with Liquiteria’s Apple Crisp Smoothie. If you’re not familiar with Liquiteria, it’s a fresh juice and smoothie place throughout NYC. I would end up getting this smoothie several times a week and it’s still my favorite from the dozen of places in the city. I’ve made it my mission to try to recreate it. While it’s not 100%, it’s pretty close!
Makes 2 small mason jar servings or 1 large one.
Ingredients:
1 large green apple or 2 small ones
1/2 a banana (optional – some days I add it, some days I don’t)
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/2 cup milk of choice (I use vanilla almond)
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar or 1 tablespoon real deal apple cider*
2 handfuls baby spinach
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 dashes cayenne
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon – this makes it very cinnamon-y, which I like, so if you don’t like a strong cinnamon taste, add less.
ice, as needed.
directions: blend all together (I use my Vitamix) and enjoy!
optional:
I also this opportunity to add 2 tablespoons of collagen powder.
You can also add a tablespoon of coconut oil, but this might slightly alter taste.
*When I was first playing around with the ingredients, I thought that one of the main ingredients was apple cider vinegar, but I later came to realize (after asking them) that it’s actually apple cider. APV is a lot healthier, but I’m sure the regular apple cider makes it taste better. Play around with both, but use the APV very sparingly as the flavor is extremely strong.

I saved this recipe some time ago. I just recently made it with the exception of the apple cider vinegar because of my husband. It is so refreshing and so yummy. Now he is requesting this very often. Thank you so much for a good recipe. Love your blog and pictures of your baby boy.
