As I've mentioned before, this pregnancy has taught me some new-found ways to be creative. It made me step out of my typical dressing style as denim, including denim shorts, don't quite cut it in the hot summer months. Maternity version of denim shorts do exist, but I don't love the look on me. I've basically lived in dresses as I've found them to be a) the most comfortable this time of year and b) some of the most flattering. Hello, August! Weekend Links & Things:
We're officially in August and I could hardly believe it. Normally, I eagerly await fall, but this year, I'm in zero rush. Partly because it's a reminder at how quickly time is passing and secondly, because fall means we welcome our new baby and I just need a little more time. Nate was also over 10 days late and while many would be impatient, I welcomed it. Maybe it's the procrastinator in me?
This weekend, we're celebrating some birthdays and I'll be packing for a Bahamas trip Nate and I are taking next week. We're heading to Rosewood Baha Mar with Sai and her kids.

Beauty: Seven Investment Purchases Worth the Splurge
When it comes to beauty products, there are days where I feel like I've tried it all. I know that is hardly the case, considering there are incredible (and not-so-incredible) products popping up on a daily basis. Throughout the years, I've tried a lot of very pricey products and potions that sadly, left me disappointed. Many that I've purchased myself and many that were kindly, sent to me by PR companies. In a lot of cases, if I'm not impressed, I'll just keep quiet. Lately, I've been thinking about what fun additions I could add to Brooklyn Blonde; posts that are informative & fun while sharing a little bit about some of my favorite people on the web!
