Having lost a grandmother to breast cancer (who unfortunately, I never got to meet) and watching some of my closest friends lose some of their loved ones, I’ve always been passionate about breast cancer research + awareness.
Launched in 2000, the mission of Pink Pony is to reduce disparities in cancer care in medically underserved communities and ensure that treatment is available at an earlier, more curable stage. The Pink Pony Fund of the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation supports programs for cancer screening, early diagnosis, treatment, research and patient navigation. The campaign has since raised over 40 million for distribution to breast cancer charities in 13 countries worldwide.

Great photo! And great cause. I lost my aunt 4 years ago to breast cancer. She was diagnosed 10 years before that and had been in remission until the cancer came back and spread to her bones. She is still the bravest and strongest woman I have ever met. I love that designers and companies are supporting the cause. Anything we can do to learn more about the disease, diagnosis, and helping patients…I'm down for.
