I wore this look over the weekend for a date night/father’s day dinner with Keith. Instead of going to our favorite sushi spot, we opted to try a new place that’s been on the list and sadly, were pretty disappointed.
I’ve said it before, but for those in or visiting Brooklyn, check out Sushi Katsuei. Incredible food for a decent price, considering the quality you get. For those who live or frequently visit NYC, what are your favorite go-to restaurants? I’ve written about my favorites here (and in Brooklyn), but it might be time for an updated list!

Cosme in flatiron is a consistent favorite. I had several of my anniversary dinners at Babbo and have a soft spot for it. I used to live in Williamsburg for 7 years and Sweet water grill and Antica Pesa were my go-tos. For sushi Momoya (chelsea location) is super solid for well priced easy date spot.

June 20, 2017Lovely, fresh look. Curious about the denim. It’s an interesting ‘mom’ jean look. What are your thoughts about it’s shelf life? I love skinnys and flares – high waisted and mid. I did try something at Madewell based on Kerrently blogger post (she looked adorable in them). They were hilariously hideous on me. Made my booty look like one big, flat movie screen. I said something about it to the sales person and she said, “Yeah, that’s how the girls like their butts now. Flat.” Seriously. What a waste of all those squats and lunges. 🙂

hahaha! “what a waste of all of those squats and lunges..” that cracked me up. As far as the shelf line, I’m torn. I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon! although, years ago I loved a low-rise and now I cannot even fathom wearing a pair like that again. I think mom jeans are sort of a classic, but they’ll be modified and tweaked with each season. Definitely not for everyone! I love them, but my husband, not so much.
