Navy & Black Fashion
In middle school, I vividly remember being told that navy and black was a big fashion faux pas.
“You can’t wear navy and black together. It totally clashes!”
I’m not sure where that silly rule came from, but I find it to be such a luxe, underrated pairing. This coat is one of my favorite H&M finds. In fact, I loved it so much that I ended up pulling the trigger on the beige one as well. I got it in a small and it’s a bit oversized, but If you’re looking for it to be a bit more fitted, I’d size down.
PS: I wear the above boots all the time and they’re now 40% off. Black is sold out in most colors, but they have a beautiful chestnut color!

I have never followed fashion rules. If an item of clothing appeals to me, my body type, height and my style of dress; I will wear it and pair it according to my own personal style preferences. For example, I remember when wearing all denim was declared a faux pas – never followed it. Likewise, I do not follow fashion trends – what I like I adopt and sometimes change or discard. I was a teenager in the 80s when everyone was wearing leg warmers, I hated them and thought they looked ridiculous. I remember being 18 when acid wash denim was on everyone, did not follow that trend either.
