I listen to my fair share of podcasts, but they’re typically the same six: Happier, Goop, Oprah’s SuperSoul Sunday, The Goal Digger, How I Built This, and The GaryVee Audio Experience. I love them all, but in an effort to branch out, I was looking for some other recommendations. Naturally, I turned to all of you on instastories and as always, I received some wonderful recommendations that I dove right into.
The podcasts that were recommended over and over again: Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard (already a new favorite), The Morning Toast, Second Life with Hilary Kerr from Clique Media (aka Who What Wear), The Daily from NYT, Fat Mascara, Mom Brain, and Unf*ck Your Brain. I know many of you, Keiko included, say that This American Life is your #1 Favorite. I actually have never listened to it because I never know where to start. If you have any favorite episodes, please share!
Erin, who I like to call my internet friend since we’ve never officially met, has been sharing her journey (would that be the right word?) through infertility. I’ve been following along from the beginning and her posts have been incredibly raw and honest. I know that she’s helping so many other women who may be going through something similar. Side note: last time I shared another infertility story, I had someone message me to ask if I was secretly going through the same thing. The answer is no. I’m not sharing because I have some hidden messages behind these posts, but rather, because I think these conversations need to be normalized. They’re more common than we could possibly imagine.
The rug in the above photo. I got the 5 x 7 and am so pleased with how it looks in person! This one is a close second fav.
No better way to welcome 2019 than with a brand new Girl Scout cookie!

Anthro is having a 25% off sale on a ton of home stuff and I’m currently in the market for a few closet updates. I’ve been wanting to update my light fixture and am really into this one.
I’m also still drooling over this mirror, I just don’t know if I have the perfect space for it. I’ve seen it in a friends home and it is incredibly stunning.
Is it ever ok to take home the wine you brought to a party?
On a quest to find some of the best children’s books out there, I asked all of you and got back some wonderful answers from mothers, grandmothers, teachers and from everyone in between.
Must check out some of these romantic winter weekend getaways.
Have a great weekend!

I have to admit, I have not yet gotten into Podcasts at all! I have listenend to a few history and travels one on my Spotify, just to educate myself, but did not really get hooked on either. Will for sure check out some of your recommendations, I’ve read about Happier a lot!

I am majorly into Podcasts but not heard of most of the ones you mentioned except the American Life, Fat Mascara and the Daily so pretty happy to hear the list. The ones I would recommend are: Guardian Long Read (definitely think you would enjoy it), Strangers, Just Pop Fashion and the High Low.

A blog that I follow is “The broken brain” blog by Dr Mark Hyman. To date he has around 30 podcasts on his blog dealing with brain health and how what we do to our bodies impacts brain health and vice versa. There are podcasts dealing with depression, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, brain injury, the power of community, the impact of big agri business on health and many other interesting topics. If you are interested in health and appreciate that brain health can impact the body and that body health can impact the brain, it may be a blog for you.
