This past week, I shared several things on stories that I received quite a few questions on. From the workouts that I incorporate into my routine, to the exercise bands that I love, to the lunchbox that we use for Nate. Rather than answering all individually, I figured it would be way more informative (and easier) to include in todays post.
My Favorite Workouts:
I try my best to get a little workout in, whether it’s at the gym or at home, at least 3-4x a week. When I say at home, even if I’m able to do a 20 minute arm workout, I feel better that I did something. For the last several months, I’ve been incorporating the workouts from Melissa Wood and my body loves them. They’re all based around creating long, lean lines throughout your entire body and while the movements are small, they’re really effective. I see signs of definition in places I haven’t seen in years. I pay $10 a month and for me, it’s been worth every penny. She does offer a 5 day trial for you to see if it’s for you, so give it a try. I have not partnered with her in any way, just my complete and honest thoughts.
Most of the videos entail your own body weight but a few incorporate exercise bands (I use these and these), a small exercise ball and arm weights. Occasionally, I’ll also throw on these ankle weights if I want to amp it up a bit; not necessary, but I often use them. Even before I started doing her videos, I’ve always loved using bands and weights. They’re also easy to use at home and get a completely different workout in than you’d get on a cardio machine or with weights. Personally, I like to mix it up, but do whatever works for you. I also love doing this video at home which incorporate my ankle weights. The next day, your booty and legs will burn, but in the best possible way.
A few months ago, I purchased this lunchbox for Nate after seeing a few of my favorite motherhood accounts using it. It’s eco-friendly, easy to clean (I throw in dishwasher) and something I know we’ll be using for years to come. For those who messaged me to ask whether the food stays hot? It does not stay hot, but rather, warmish. They come in a variety of sizes and I also added on some car magnets for fun.

Those workouts really sounds interesting! Smaller movements, but with a lot of reps is actually my favorite way of toning muscle – as you said, super effective and you see results fast!
